I’m from Nepal, now in Coquitlam, BC. I like working across the whole product, from the screen people use to the database behind it.

At Event Temple that has meant leading our API rewrite to JSON:API, building a migration engine that moved 1.5 million records without downtime, and co-leading the move from AngularJS to React and Next.js.

Right now I’m going deeper into backend and infrastructure, and studying for the AWS Developer – Associate exam.

  1. 2023 - nowremote

    Event TempleSenior Full-Stack Engineer

    Hospitality SaaS. I own the API and the data underneath it.

    • Led the Rails API to V2 on JSON:API: resource design, serializer caching, one error shape.
    • Built a zero-downtime migration engine; 1.5M+ records moved across schemas, transactionally.
    • Traced and fixed PostgreSQL table-level lock contention during production schema migrations.
    • Backend for Proposals and Guest Portal, part of $2M+ in enterprise contracts.
    • Co-led a two-year AngularJS → React/Next.js migration, owning the API contracts.
  2. 2021 - 2022remote

    LegalfitFront-End Developer

    Led Vue 2 → Vue 3 with TypeScript, and the tools clients built with.

    • Standardized component patterns and type safety across the migration.
    • Drag-and-drop form builder with rich text, from requirements to ship.
    • Wired builders to Django REST APIs with validation and live editing.
  3. 2019 - 2021Lalitpur, NP

    TekvortexSoftware Engineer

    Rails and PostgreSQL reporting systems, where the schema was the product.

    • Tuned queries, views and indexes for relational reporting.
    • A database client for non-technical users, in Rails and Angular.
    • D3.js dependency mapping behind ~$500K in annual revenue.
